On 22 March this year, the Little Way of the Cross dedicated to the former prisoners of the German concentration camp for Polish children on Przemyslowa Street in Lodz took place for the third time. Participants in the event set off from the parish of St Mary of Grace after the 7pm Mass. The event was co-organised by the Museum of Polish Children – Victims of Totalitarianism, which prepared a guide with reflections for the Stations of the Cross.
For the third time, the Little Way of the Cross set off from under the Monument to the Martyrdom of Children, the so-called Broken Heart, along the grounds of the former German concentration camp for Polish children on Przemyslowa Street in Lodz. The Way of the Cross was preceded by a Eucharist celebrated for the intention of the victims of the camp. The Museum of Polish Children –Victims of Totalitarianism was involved in the preparation of the event.
“We are happy to once again be involved in the preparation of such an initiative as the Little Way of the Cross, dedicated to the former prisoners of the Przemysłowa camp. This year, as co-organisers, we have prepared a guide with reflections for the Stations of the Cross. We hope that it will allow the participants to better experience the event and learn about the history of the camp on Przemyslowa Street,” said Dr Ireneusz Piotr Maj, director of the Museum.
The event was initiated by Maciej Małecki. The route of the Little Way of the Cross was about 3 km long.
