Branch of the Museum in Dzierżązna

Thanks to a donation from the Zgierz Municipality, the Museum became the owner of real estate on the grounds of a manor park in Dzierżązna (Zgierz Municipality), together with a former farm building. During the German occupation, the property was located near the residence of Heinrich Hans Fuge, deputy of commander Camillo Ehrlich in the camp on Przemysłowa Street, and later head of the Dzierżązna branch.

According to an order of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage dated April 4, 2023, a branch of the Museum was officially established in Dzierżązna. As of April 5, 2023, the full name of our institution is "The Museum of Polish Children – Victims of Totalitarianism. German Nazi Camp for Polish Children in Łódź (1942-1945). Branch in Dzierżązna".
