Today, at the Museum of Polish Children – Victims of Totalitarianism, information plaques to mark the graves of former prisoners of the German camp for Polish children on Przemysłowa Street in Łódź were ceremonially handed over to their relatives. The event took place on the 83rd anniversary of the first transport of children to the Przemysłowa camp.
11 December 2025 marked the 83rd anniversary of the first transport of young prisoners to the German camp for Polish children on Przemysłowa Street in Łódź. On that day, a ceremony was held at the Museum to hand over information plaques to mark the burial sites of former camp inmates. It is a symbolic act that will help preserve the dignified memory of the children who were victims of terror.
“The presentation of the plaques is a symbolic act of restoring dignity and ensuring that none of those children who went through the hell of the camp are forgotten. This is our duty to the victims of totalitarianism and an important part of the Museum's mission,” said Dr Sylwia Wielichowska, Director of the Museum of Polish Children – Victims of Totalitarianism.
