The National Bank of Poland will put into circulation a silver collector coin with a face value of PLN 10 – “Nazi German Camp for Polish Children in Łódź(1942-1945)”. Prof. Adam Glapiński, Governor of the National Bank of Poland, signed an order to that effect.

“Nazi German Concentration Camp for Polish Children in Łódź (1942-1945)” is the name of a collector coin commemorating the concentration camp on Przemysłowa Street in Łódź. The coin will soon be put into circulation. Today the Governor of the National Bank of Poland signed an order to this effect.

A press conference on the commemorative coin will be held at the Łódź branch of the National Bank of Poland on 8 December. The event will include its official presentation and handover to former inmates of the German concentration camp for Polish children on Przemysłowa Street in Łódź.

The event is co-organized by the Museum of Polish Children – Victims of Totalitarianism and the Łódź District Branch of the National Bank of Poland.
